IT must be a tough job being a BBC weather presenter. You work irregular hours, point to weather maps and symbols that only the viewers can see and, worst of all, you face a nation’s scorn for getting the weather horrifically wrong most of the time. On top of this, many presenters are like robots, churning out pages of dry, dull script, on the hour, every hour. So, just how did UK viewers react when weather presenter, Tomasz Schafernaker was caught off-camera giving the finger to news presenters across the studio? Some loved his cheek, while others were disgusted. Meanwhile, the BBC has issued an apology for “any offence caused”.
