Courage steals a march on would-be robber

The other day, my friend and I went to a fair to do some shopping. But it was so crowded that we decided to leave early. On our way back, I suddenly heard my friend shout to another man, who was really tall and strong: “Give my phone back!” At that moment, realizing we were being robbed, I panicked and tried to drag my friend away before we could get into even more serious trouble. However, the most unlikely thing happened: the guy handed back the phone and tried to walk away. But my friend grasped his arm even tighter. “Why did you steal my phone? Tell me!” she demanded. My jaw hit the ground – I was totally shocked by her courage. And amazingly, the giant guy backed down again and apologized to us. It was the first time that I had confronted a thief and my friend’s actions really taught me a lesson. Or maybe we were just lucky to meet an inexperienced thief.
