Switzerland celebrates finishing world’s longest rail tunnel

SWITZERLAND celebrated the drilling (挖掘) of the Gotthard Base Tunnel (隧道) on October 15. The 57-km-long tunnel took the crown for the world’s longest tunnel from Japan’s Seikan Tunnel, which is 53.6 km long.
