THE US Postal Service recently added a new stamp to their collection – one with a photo of the Statue of Liberty. But a patriotic (爱国的) citizen noticed that the stamp’s photo was not of the beloved Lady Liberty, but of a distant cousin – a half-sized replica (复制品) found outside the New York casino (赌场) in Las Vegas. While the Postal Service admits the photo was a mistake, they said they would correct the catalogue information connected with the stamp and live with the error. The real Statue of Liberty was a gift from France in 1886.
