Chicago Bulls’ star Derrick Rose was named the NBA’s Most Valuable Player for the regular season last week. Rose is the first Bulls’ player to win MVP since Michael Jordan captured (获得) the last of his five in 1998. He played in 81 games, averaging 25.0 points and 4.1 rebounds (篮板球) per contest. The 22-year-old is the youngest MVP in history and won by a landslide. He received 1,182 points from 120 sportswriters and broadcasters. Dwight Howard finished second with 643 points while LeBron James was third with 522 points.
