TAIWANESE pop singer Wilber Pan took everyone by surprise at the 46th Golden Bell Awards (金钟奖) on October 22, when he was awarded the title of the Best Leading Actor for his role in the TV drama, Endless Love (《爱无限》). Pan burst into tears on hearing the news. His win was unexpected, and there were many doubtful remarks about whether he deserved (应得) the award. But Pan remains self-assured about his acting. “You can doubt anything but you cannot deny my efforts,” he said. “I’ll keep working hard, and time will prove my worth.”
