CHINA’S unmanned spacecraft, Shenzhou VIII, successfully completed its space rendezvous and docking (交会对接) mission with the Tiangong-1 space module on November 3. This makes China the world’s third country to do this after Russia and the US. It paves the way for China to operate a permanent (永久的) space station in 2020.
