TAIWAN singer Luo Zhixiang (or Show Luo) was recently named “Person of the Year” by PETA Asia, an Asia-based animal rights group. The 32-year-old uses his star power to encourage (鼓励) others to help animals. The caring Luo adopted (领养) many animals; there are 14 cats and 12 dogs in his house. What’s more, he has spent about 4 million yuan buying a piece of land in Taiwan for orphaned animals. “You have to let these dogs know that they are safe and won’t have any more worries,” Luo said. 21ST |  |
