IT’S normal (平常的) for parents to be protective of their children. But 30-year-old pop singer Beyonce and her husband Jay-Z are starting to be called pretentious because of the way they look after their daughter. According to The Washington Post, the new parents have filed an application (申请) with the US Patent and Trademark Office (专利与商标局). They have officially trademarked the name of their daughter, Blue Ivy. They say they plan to use Blue’s name in the future to sell baby products (用品).
