Ding Junhui, the 25-year-old snooker star, has just made public that he has found a girlfriend since winning the Welsh Open on February 19. “Apple (his girlfriend’s English name) gives me a lot of help in daily life,” said Ding. “She’s been taking care of me, cooking and encouraging me to train every day.” There used to be rumors that Ding had had short romantic relationships with Chinese women’s nine-ball world champion Pan Xiaoting and young model Wang Jiaying. These were denied by all those involved.
