IT looks like a stunt (特技) show – people stand on each other’s shoulders to build human towers. But for local people in Catalonia, a northeastern region in Spain, this is an important part of the traditional festival of “La Merce” (Our Lady of Mercy (仁慈)) held every September. They believe the towers are a good way of displaying courage (勇气) and strength.
