YAO Ming has retired. His old pal Tracy McGrady, however, is seeking a career boost (推动) in China. The former NBA star has signed a one-year contract (合同) with Chinese basketball club the Qingdao Eagles. McGrady, 33, played 15 seasons in the NBA. He is very popular in China after playing with Yao Ming for the Houston Rockets from 2005 to 2010.
