Fall from grace

HE was a legend (传奇人物) but has now fallen from grace. On Oct 22, the International Cycling Union (UCI) formally took away Lance Armstrong’s seven Tour de France titles for doping (服用兴奋剂). The American athlete will also be banned (禁赛) from the event for life. Armstrong, 41, has beaten cancer and won the Tour de France seven times from 1999 to 2005. Now, though, there will be no Tour de France winner in the event’s record book for those years. |  |
