Nov 20, 1866: The rotary-crank (回行曲柄) bicycle was patented by Frenchman Pierre Lallement. It was the first really popular design. But it earned the name of “bone-shaker” because of its rigid (不灵活的) frame and wheels that resulted in a “bone-shaking experience for riders”.
