He joined the Young Driver Development Program of Spain’s HRT-Formula 1 team in April. Five months later, he made it into his first practice race in Italy. And early this month, he became the first native Chinese driver to officially set foot in the world of Formula 1 motor sports, as HRT announced that he will drive for the team in the 2013 season.
