Discharged from the military

IT’S time for Hyun Bin’s fans to jump for joy. On Dec 6, the 30-year-old South Korean star was discharged from the military after finishing almost two years of compulsory service (义务兵役). Hundreds of movie fans and media braved the cold weather to welcome him back. “During my time in the army, I learnt a lot of things,” he told his fans. “I promised (承诺) myself 21 months ago that I would become a strong person, able to take the pressure (压力). I think that I have kept to that promise.”
