IN an age of instant communication, we sometimes use the term “snail mail” to refer to ordinary postal mail. The post, like a snail, is known for moving slowly. But even a snail would’ve probably beaten Bert Jacobson’s postcard from Pennsylvania home to his mother in Oklahoma, two states of the US. The postcard took 46 years to arrive, according to The Associated Press. Mama Jacobson finally received the card on Friday, Feb 8, 2013. |  |
