As the number of patients infected with the H7N9 *avian flu virus continues to rise and the virus spreads beyond its origin, the Yangtze River Delta, national attention is focused on the *plight of the patients affected. The virus so far has killed about 20 percent of the people it has infected. Many of the patients are in a critical condition, fighting for their lives.
