Short story writer wins Nobel Prize

Canadian Alice Munro won the Nobel Prize for literature on Oct 10 for her tales of the struggles, loves and tragedies of women in small-town Canada. She is the 13th woman to win the prize. The award-giving committee called her the “master of the contemporary short story”. |  |
