Just because the summer — the most productive season in the year for Hollywood — is over, doesn’t mean filmmakers will stop attracting audiences and award-show *buzz. A recent article in The Atlantic points out that films set at sea, in space or anytime before 1980 have the best chances of winning an Oscar next March.
