The silkscreen painting contains fifty images of the actress, which are all based on a single publicity photograph from the film Niagara (1953). The 25 pictures on the left side are brightly colored, while the 25 on the right are black and white. It’s been suggested that the relation between the two sides of the *canvas reflects the relation between the celebrity’s life and death. |  |
