Strong lure of North America

In 2012, nearly 400,000 students left China to study abroad. It is estimated that in 2013, this number will rise to 450,000. Apart from the increase in the number of students’ going abroad to study, their destinations are also seeing more diversity. Though students going to the US, the UK, Australia, Canada and other traditionally favored destinations still make up 75 percent of all students, some countries in Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Asia are gaining popularity. In the following three pages, some of the popular study abroad destinations have been introduced.
