POP band Mayday, from Taiwan, is busy with two tasks right now: preparing for the Nowhere World Tour (“诺亚方舟”世界巡回演唱会), and studying English. The tour is in February next year, and London will be their first stop in Europe. To better communicate with foreign fans, Mayday members have taken an intensive (强度大的) training course for several weeks. How’s the studying going? They proved (证实) their English skills on Nov 5 at the BBC live show Impact. They talked about their tour and their music career, all in English. They won big applause (掌声), especially the drummer Guan You. His fluent English surprised everyone, including other members of Mayday. They all said Guan You’s speech was flawless.21ST
