Hollywood brought us a pretty dismal summer this year, offering tepid films such as The Internship and After Earth that hardly left an impression. The fall brought some welcome relief in the form of Gravity, but now we’re closing in on another busy season for the film industry: awards season — technically, from November to the end of the year.
