WHO is Britain’s hero of the year? It must be Andy Murray. On Dec 15, the BBC named the tennis star the Sports Personality of the Year (年度体育人物) for his great performance (表现) at Wimbledon (温布尔登网球锦标赛) in July. Wimbledon is the oldest and one of the most important tennis tournaments (锦标赛) in the world. Murray was the first British male (男性) to win the tournament in 77 years!
