Numbers hide inequality

Judging by the figures, women should have equal, if not better, chances than men to succeed in the workplace. Latest statistics from the US Department of Education show that nearly 60 percent of bachelor’s degrees in the US go to women. According to Bureau of Labor numbers, although women accounted for only 49 percent of the US labor force in 2012, they *comprised nearly 52 percent of management, professional and related positions. |  |
