Knitting sweaters to warm island’s poor penguins

IF your mother is knitting (编织) a sweater for you, ask her to knit one more for a penguin. The Penguin Foundation is a conservation (环保) group in Australia. They are asking people from around the world to make small sweaters for the penguins on Phillip Island in Australia. The island is known for its large penguin population. The group said that nowadays, oil spills (漏油事件) harm penguins a lot. A little sweater can keep penguins that are covered (覆盖) in oil warm, and can stop them eating the oil. The group has a guide on how to knit as well as the size information on their website. They also hold a contest every year to show off the best and most creative sweaters.
