As vice school captain of my high school, it was very difficult to be a leader amongst my peers without them *deeming me “bossy” or overly *domineering. Even though I was required as part of my role to advise and lead others, I was often worried that people would see me as bossy and therefore like me less. My fellow male leader, however, didn’t have this concern.
