It is in the nature of humans to move around. Throughout history, the vast expanse of Eurasia was criss-crossed with trade routes, which gradually linked up to form what we know today as the Silk Roads. But this vast network carried more than just merchandise and precious *commodities. The constant movement and mixing of populations also brought about the transmission of knowledge, cultures and beliefs, which had a profound impact on the history and civilization of Eurasia.
