Treating yourself well

本文作者: 21ST
TODAY, I am here to urge you to respect your potentials. Eight years ago, on one morning, I spoke on stage for the first time with my tiny hands trembling. It was a class presentation in which students were assigned to groups and were requested to perform a song as a team. And I, motivated by a strange faith (信念) within me, stepped forward and volunteered to be the host of my group. Forty-three audience members in front of me fixed their eyes on my face. “Dear classmates, we are Group Three. Today we are going to bring you the song Jasmine Flower”. The very moment the words came out of my mouth, a magical feeling blossomed in my heart. I felt like a hero, a hero who had just finished an epic battle (惊心动魄的战斗), a hero with armor (盔甲) shining in the sunshine. Many of you might be skeptical (怀疑的) about this sudden passion (激情) of mine. And I, too, have been puzzled by these questions: What is it that makes 15 seconds on stage so memorable? What is it that makes two sentences, 17 words, so important, so special and so deeply rooted in my mind?
