March to victory: Students of Beihang University’s marching show band compete in the 2014 International Open Championship on July 6 at Rastede, Germany. The championship, organized by the World Association of Marching Show Bands, welcomed more than 50 marching bands from six countries. They performed music and dance routines while marching through an open court. With its stunning performance of The Butterfly Lovers, Beihang University’s marching show band won first place in the competition. It was the first time that a Chinese band participated in the international championship.Xinhua
