One pen at a time: Imagine what more than 10,000 pen refills look like. Maybe only Chen Yunjing really knows. From May 2013 to 2014, this freshman at Kunming University of Science and Technology collected used pen refills. She noticed that students usually throw away old pen refills, which pollutes the environment in the long run. So, she decided to recycle them. She put 1,000 bags in the classrooms of her high school and wrote proposals to encourage other students to join her. Now, she continues this collection and hopes more students support her efforts.
