Young adults living with their parents or receiving consistent financial aid from their parents seem to have become a serious problem in China. In Hangzhou, the capital city of the *affluent Zhejiang province, for example, proposed that local *legislation now should seek to ban adult children with independent means from living off their parents. According to the bill, adults with the ability to support themselves should not demand economic help from their elderly parents using unemployment or other excuses.
