Doing better
本文作者: Li Jiajia
WHEN I started my senior middle school life, I was a little scared. I couldn’t fully understand the lessons and did worse in exams. But there were always some students who did quite well. When I thought of that, frustration (灰心) and despair (绝望) hit me like waves. I knew I had lost control of my new school life and felt down for several weeks. But one day I suddenly realized that I couldn’t go on like this. I had to do what I ought to, rather than keep blaming (责备) myself. I started to walk out of my comfort zone (舒适区域). I asked teachers and classmates about problems I didn’t know the answers to. I studied harder than before. As time went by, I improved a lot and made new friends.
