KOREA Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages (KOTESOL) is a professional organization for teachers of English.
KOTESOL was established in October 1992. Its main goals are to assist members in their self-development, and improve ELT in Korea. KOTESOL allows teachers to connect with others in the ELT community and find teaching resources through KOTESOL publications, conferences and symposia, as well as chapter meetings and workshops.
KOTESOL 2008 International Conference will be held in Seoul, October 25 — 29, 2008. This year’s theme is Responding to a Changing World.
Membership
All English teachers, regardless of level or nationality, are invited to join KOTESOL. The membership of KOTESOL includes elementary school, secondary school, and university English teachers and professors, as well as ELT teachers-in-training, administrators, researchers, materials writers, curriculum developers, and other interested persons.
The period of membership shall be 12 months from the time of application, ending on the last day of the twelfth month. Applications made in October, the month of the International Conference, shall run through to September 30 of the following year. Renewals shall run for a full twelve months. Annual dues are US$60.
