THE English Language and Literature Teachers Association (Singapore) {ELLTA(S)} was launched in October 2000. It strives to:
* Help facilitate professional self-development by providing teachers with opportunities for research work, writing of papers for publication, and attending conferences.
* Help teachers keep abreast of current research findings and innovations in practice through professional development sessions by noted world experts in the field.
* Keep teachers informed with the publishing of existing and new ELL teaching practices and teaching resources.
* Provide opportunities for teachers to interact with special interest groups to identify specific needs.
Membership
You can join ELLTA(S) as an ordinary, associate or corporate member at any time of the year. The membership period is a year from the date of joining.
* Ordinary membership {S$20 (about $13) per annum} is open to English Language and Literature teachers.
* Associate membership {S$15 (about $10) per annum} is open to any person concerned with English Language and Literature education.
* Corporate membership {S$150 (about $98) per annum} is open to schools and educational institutions at all levels.
