British Prime Minister Theresa May’s hopes of the UK’s speedy separation from the European Union were thrown into *disarray last week when the country’s High Court ruled that she needs Parliament’s approval before starting the process, the BBC reported. This was one of the most significant developments since Britons voted in a *referendum in June to exit the EU. While 52 percent of voters were in favor of leaving, most Parliament members wanted the UK to stay in the EU.
