Some regions across China have adopted policies to exempt (免除) certain population groups from COVID-19 mass testing. On Nov 29, for example, Beijing’s Chaoyang district announced that the elderly at home, students taking daily online classes, babies and those working from home will no longer be required to take daily tests. Other places such as Chongqing, Guangzhou, Zhengzhou and Harbin have announced similar measures. The aim of the new policies is to reduce infection risks, reported China Daily.
