Buckle up! Here comes the future

IN British writer HG Wells’ novel The Time Machine, the protagonist jumps into a special chair with blinking lights, spins a few dials, and finds himself being catapulted several hundred thousand years into the future. Eminent British physicist Stephen Hawking says such a machine need not remain in the world of fiction. He said recently that time travel is possible, and that a real time machine can be built.
