The expanding recognition of English as a lingua franca and the rise of global Englishes in recent decades have shifted the paradigm of language teaching from adhering to “native-speaker” standards to embracing a wider variety of Englishes. This paradigm shift calls for innovative teaching practices in English classrooms to change frontline teachers' awareness and empower them with the necessary tools and strategies to initiate changes. In response to this call, Professor Heath Rose and Dr. Nicola Galloway authored the book Global Englishes for Language Teaching, which serves as a handbook summarizing key issues related to Global Englishes and offering practical advice for classroom language teaching.
