Background information
The CLESOL conference was first organized in 1990 and has been held every two years since, each time in a different location around New Zealand. It is a professional conference that regularly attracts hundreds of national and international delegates in the area of language teaching. Two organizations contribute to the planning and running of the conferenceTeachers of English for Speakers of Other Languages, Aotearoa, New Zealand (CLESOL) and Community Languages Association of New Zealand (CLANZ).
