Background information
Founded in 1983, EURALEX is an international association that aims to further all aspects of the broad field of lexicography, promoting the exchange of ideas and information. EURALEX holds biennial congresses, where refereed papers are presented on a large variety of topics relevant to its members' interests. EURALEX also gives support to smaller meetings, symposia, and workshops on particular lexicographical topics. EURALEX sponsors "IJL", "The International Journal of Lexicography". "IJL" is a quarterly journal, published by Oxford University Press.
