自编英文儿歌 提升词汇记忆效果
作为一名小学英语教师,笔者十分重视采用多种方式进行词汇教学,提升词汇教学效果。以下是笔者常用的几种方法。
一、儿歌记忆法
儿歌琅琅上口,便于记忆,因此利用儿歌记单词是小学生记忆单词的好方法。除了利用现成的英文儿歌外,教师还可以自编儿歌。例如,letter, litter, little三个词很容易混淆,于是,笔者编了这样一首儿歌——
Amy, Amy, a little girl,
Coming, coming, letter’s coming,
Look, look, she’s throwing.
I say, I say, No littering!
二、分类教学法
许多词组看似零散,事实上它们之间存在着联系。例如,公共标识的表达法有以下几类:
1.No+ving: No smoking! No parking!
2.Do not/Don’t+v(包括肯定、否定): Keep off the grass! Be/Keep quiet! Do not/Don’t touch!
3. n: Danger!
在教授这些语法结构时,教师可先举例,然后引导学生观察并总结出规律,最后让学生根据规律说出更多的表达法。
三、灵活选择教学地点
教学时,教师在条件允许的情况下可以根据教学内容灵活选择教学地点。例如,笔者在教授单词exciting,excited及句型All the students are very excited. It’s very exciting.时便选择了在操场上进行教学。
笔者组织学生举行跑步比赛,并在比赛的过程中教授单词和句型。
T: What are you doing?
S: Running.
T: Yes. It’s very exciting. What does “exciting” mean?
(Write down on the blackboard: It’s very exciting.)
T: How do you feel now? Are you excited?
S: ...
T: You are very excited. We can say: all the students are very excited. What does “excited” mean?
(Write down on the blackboard: All the students are very excited.)
T: Can you understand “excited” and “exciting”? Can you give me some examples?
S:People are excited. Things are exciting.
Exciting和excited的含义和用法看起来很简单,但小学生经常由于分不清两个单词的用法而出错。如果教师能精心设计课堂活动,必将使学生加深对词汇的理解和记忆。
