母语为非英语学生日增 澳大利亚ESL教师奇缺 MORE than 40,000 students from non-English-speaking backgrounds do not get language help at school in Australia. Since 1983, the number of students denied ESL help has tripled to 41,158. Since 1993, not one extra ESL teacher has been employed despite a steady increase in the number of students needing help.
