ETS to provide special TOEFL administration ETS在日本、韩国增设托福纸笔考试
IN response to increased demand and to assist the admission needs of students seeking to study abroad, ETS is scheduling a one-time special administration of the TOEFL test in Japan and South Korea in June, ETS officials announced recently. The test will be offered in the paper-based format. Because this is a special administration, test takers will not be allowed to change their test date or test center.

THE top book prize for children's literature in the UK, the Carnegie Medal, has selected 10 of the best children's books of the past 70 years. Philip Pullman's Northern Lights,which tells a girl's quest to rescue her friend and find her father, has been selected as one of the greatest children's books. Other contenders include Philippa Pearce's Tom's Midnight Garden and Mary Norton's The Borrowers. Established in 1936, the Carnegie Medal is awarded annually to the writer of an outstanding book for children.
