CHARLES Dickens is famed for his social sympathies. His lifelike characters and language, compelling (吸引人的) stories and humor arose from (源于) his belief that there was a lot wrong in the world during his lifetime. A Tale of Two Cities (1859) is a novel set around the events of the French Revolution to address the justices (正义) and injustices during Dickens’ times.
