NEW Zealand immigration minister announced recently that from November foreign graduate students can spend up to a year finding work in New Zealand instead of the previous six months. The easing of the immigration rules is to benefit foreign students who can teach English as a second language (ESL) and to boost the ESL industry in New Zealand, which is valued at nearly NZ$2 billion ($1.5 billion) annually.

The workshop is part of the British Council’s Primary Innovations project, which aims to help change primary English language teaching.
