  To compare and categorize:different shapes of objects

  Section I Warm-up

  

  What shape is blackboard? (黑板是什么形状?)

  It’s rectangle. (长方形)

  What’s the shape of football? (足球是什么形状?)

  It’s sphere or circle. (球体)

  Can you think of anything in our classroom that’s the same shape? (看看教室里有什么东西有相同的形状?)

  

  

  Section II Language you might use in your math classroom

  1. Let’s recognize.

  (辨一辨)

  The football and basketball have the same shape.

  

  

  (足球和篮球是同样的形状)

  They are spheres. (它们是球体)

  

  They are circles. (它们是圆形)

  The chalk box is a cube. (粉笔盒是正方体)

  What’s the shape of the tea cup? (茶杯是什么形状?)

  It is a cylinder. (圆柱体)

  

  2. Let’s learn. (学一学)

  Draw a triangle on a piece of paper.

  (在一张纸上画一个三角形)

  Categorize the shapes of the objects.

  (按物体形状分类)

  The ruler is rectangle. (尺子是长方形)

  The painting is square. (这幅画是正方形)

  The battery is cylinder. (电池是圆柱体)

  I like circles. (我喜欢圆形)

  

  3. Do exercises .

  (练一练)

  Circle the same category. (圈出同类)

  Color the same shape. (给同样的形状涂色)

  Find the different shapes. (找出不同的形状)

  Pick out the sphere. (找出球形物体)

  Pick out the cylinder. (找出圆柱体物体)

  Pick out the rectangle. (找出长方形物体)
