LONDON Book Fair (LBF) 2006 will take place March 5 to 7, 2006, in ExCel London, located in the heart of London's Docklands. It is organized by Reed Exhibitions, the world's leading organizer of trade and consumer exhibitions with a portfolio of over 430 events in 32 countries.
London Book Fair is the publishing industry's international spring event for rights and titles. In March, more than 1,000 companies will converge to bring all aspects of the book trade under one roof. Around 23,000 publishers, booksellers, literary agents, librarians, media and industry suppliers from more than 100 countries will come together to network and generate business in London. They will be enthralled by the range of services available at the fair, from advice on publishing a novel to collections of rare books.
In addition to hundreds of exhibitors, the show has an action-packed programme of social events and seminars drawing a huge professional audience and making this the single most important event in the book publishing spring calendar. LBF China Forum, organized by The Publishers Association, UK, will be of special interest to EFL teachers and educators from China.
Over the past few years, London Book Fair has grown tremendously in both stature and reputation. There are now 20 per cent more exhibitors and 60 per cent more international visitors making this a true world leader in publishing exhibitions. Even greater developments are taking place as London Book Fair moves to the new state of the art ExCeL London exhibition centre in London Docklands.
ExCeL London is London's largest, most advanced, purpose-built exhibitions, conferences and events venue. On a 100-acre site by Royal Victoria Dock, ExCeL London is set alongside a mile of waterside scenery. The huge building at ExCeL London will play host to four separate arenas accommodating between 6,000 and 10,000 spectators during the Olympics 2012.
