如今，外语教材已突破以语言知识点为线索的编排体系，倡导以“话题”(Topics)（如“节日”“音乐”“电影”等）为主线安排教学内容，外语课堂也必将以“话题”为中心展开。“教学指导”专题每月选取一个“话题”，摘编最流行的词汇和最新的相关报道，为教师提供更丰富、更新鲜的教学资料和课堂活动设计方案，帮助教师营造轻松有趣的课堂气氛，让学生在体验真实语言的同时扩展视野。

　　“电影”是学生非常喜爱谈论的话题之一，也是目前中学英语教材中的常见话题。通过学习该话题的课文，学生能够增加对电影文化的了解。本期，我们为教师设计了有关“电影”话题的课堂活动范例，以供教师参考。

　　谈论自己喜爱的电影

　　教师让学生两人一组，课下讨论自己喜爱的电影，并在课上为全班同学表演。教师可鼓励学生利用电影海报、VCD等做道具，以活跃课堂气氛。参考对话:

　　A: Hello, Li Ming! Nice to see you.

　　B: Hello, Wang Lin! Nice to see you, too.

　　A: Li Ming, do you like watching movies?

　　B: Sure! Yesterday I saw a film named Ant Bully. It was so interesting!

　　A: Really? Why did you like it so much?

　　B:Well, first, I liked the ants in the story. They were like human beings, with feelings and thoughts. Second, the pictures were fantastic. But, the most important thing was, I liked children's pronunciation.

　　A: I see. I'll see it sometime.

　　B: What about you? What's your favourite movie?

　　A: My favourite movie is...

　　了解电影文化

　　教师将学生分为4至5人一组，让他们任选一个电影类型，并搜集关于该类型电影的知识。教师可鼓励小组制作PPT课件，在课上呈现给其他学生。参考范例:

　　The detective film has proven popular and persistent, offering audiences a specific kind of image of American masculinity - one defined by manliness, perseverance, and heroism.

　　The narrative of the detective film follows the hero's investigation of a crime. However, it also offers an investigation of the detective as his masculinity is tested by his success in solving the case.

　　每个学生都有自己非常喜爱或给自己留下深刻印象的电影。教师可让学生每人写一篇电影观后感，而后将学生分成3至4人一组，互相传阅观后感。参考文章:

　　Oliver Twist

　　Oliver Twist, one of the most famous works of Charles Dickens', depicts the tragic side of life in Britain in the 18th century. The hero of the movie is Oliver Twist, an orphan, who is thrown into a world of poverty and crime.

　　In watching the tragic experiences of little Oliver, I was shocked by his suffering. I felt for the poor boy, but at the same time I detested the evil Fagin and the brutal Bill. To my relief, goodness eventually conquered devil and Oliver lived a happy life in the end.
